| The Canadian Newf Rescue Inc. is a non-profit charitable organization, which protects those unfortunate Newfoundland
dogs that end up abused, abandoned, neglected or in shelters. |
A Newfoundland dog should not be acquired casually or
disposed of lightly but sometimes an owner’s circumstances change and the
Newfoundland is unable to remain with its original owner. It is on these occasions that Canadian Newf Rescue Inc. will come to the aid of the
Newfoundland by finding a suitable, permanent home where it will be loved, cared for and respected for its unique qualities. |
Newfoundland dogs make wonderful companions, but are they for you? What you will want to consider about this breed before you go on |
| Our first and foremost responsibility at Canadian Newf Rescue Inc. is to our
rescued Newfoundland dogs. WE ARE THEIR PROTECTORS and at any time after adoption, Canadian Newf Rescue Inc. will re-adopt the Newfoundland
dog to a suitable home if we find that the Newfoundland is not being given the care it deserves. |
| The Canadian Newf Rescue Inc. has no affiliation and no funding from breeders or organizations representing the breed.
Our funding is from the general public and from those who care. |
| If you feel that, the Newfoundland dog is the breed for you please contact Canadian Newf Rescue Inc. and
request an adoption application form. Be prepared to be thoroughly screened. Before any adoption is ever made, a site visit is made to your home to determine if you and your
home environment is suitable for a Newfoundland dog. If you are successful, you will be shown how to groom and what to feed your dog. You will be obligated to provide all yearly
inoculations, which must be maintained as recommended by your Veterinarian. Copies of such vaccinations must be sent to the Canadian Newf Rescue. You
will become part of our adoptive Newfoundland Rescue Family. |
| We are available to answer any questions after adoption |

Canadian Newf Rescue Update |
The Canadian Newf Rescue Inc. is 15 years old and was founded by Lloyd Nelson. Lloyd saw a need to help abused and abandoned newfoundland dogs ,who for individual
circumstances had become homeless. Lloyd tirelessly made sure that these dogs were taken in and made sure that they were fed, cared for by a vet and loved while he would be
looking for a home for them. There have been 227 dogs so far come through the gates of The Canadian Newf Rescue Inc. No matter what was wrong with the dog, maybe too old, too
sick or other issues, Lloyd would never see that newfoundland dog be homeless. He has created an organization that has a group of volunteers (people who have adopted his
dogs) that come out and help with the day to day running of The Canadian Newf Rescue Inc. The dogs required alot of attention, grooming. exercising, feeding, etc.
So now The Canadian Newf Rescue Inc. needs some help!
Lloyd suffered a massive stroke on December 11,2008 and has been hospitalized ever since. He has created this organization with the hope that it would be able to continue.
15 years of pure devotion is pretty incredible and anyone involved with The Canadian Newf Rescue Inc. would love to honour his dream and keep it going. This operation takes
alot of money to run with food expenses, vet bills and whatever other surprises that can happen. Lloyd was working on having a kennel building built that would have
inside and outside runs, a food preperation area, grooming and washing area and a sick bay area to keep a dog if it was too sick to be with the others.
Anyone who would like to donate money, time, or are interested in adopting a dog can contact us through the web.site. The Canadian Newf Rescue Inc. is a non-profit organization
with a charity status. As an organization and friends of Lloyd Nelson, we promised him that we would do our best to continue and he has promised us that he would
work hard at getting better. Both sides are working very hard to keep their promises to each other!
